Nome lost the final match in the Far North Conference to Barrow and will go as the #2 seed to the 1-2-3A West State Tournament.
Most of the information for the tournament can be found at www.asaa.org/volleyball. We are now set to play the Southeast Conference seed #1. I have no idea who that will be yet. Apparently, none of the 1-2-3A West reports any scores to the state authority so none of it is on the website.
Rachel Pomeranz and Christina Blandford were selected for the All-Tournament Team.
And I brought home my first hardware! A second place trophy in our division will now be prominently displayed.
Off to Anchorage. We should be flying out on Wednesday. I will update later.
