TOPPLED — Edith Okpowruk's home on the west end of Shishmaref, probably the most photographed face of erosion, succumbed to the erosion of the bluff on which it was standing and fell on the beach.
It finally happened. I put up a picture of this house teetering over the edge. It fell.
