One of my favorite cartoons because of the amount of internet plagiarism I have caught over the past three years. The student tells his teacher, "I didn't write the report. I printed it directly from the internet, but I did the stapling and collating myself." I have caught people that have simply cut and paste into Word, with hyperlinks still underlined and in another color! I can easily spot plagiarism due to big words and complex sentences sometimes. All I have to do most of the time is just take a specific phrase that would relate only to that paper and type it into a search engine. Voila! It pops up. Sometimes from Sparknotes and sometimes from those essay sites.
