Random thoughts about all that I can muster. As William Shatner once said, "Get a life!"

John Byrne's Next Men #1. This was one of John Byrne's Dark Horse Comics projects. I got the first fifteen issues and nothing ever developed. Also, I apparently missed the real start of the story because these Next Men first appeared for three issues in Dark Horse Presents. In retrospect, the only thing that really came of this sereis is that Mike Mignola's Hellboy first appeared in it (of course, several issues after I stopped reading it). This series had some good ideas and a good villain, but after re-reading the series, the major villain doesn't even make a move during the first fifteen issues. I gave it a try, buying fifteen issues at $2.50 each, which back in 1992 was expensive for a comic. Now, it looks like I unwisely spent $37.50.
