I can't believe it! I'm going to Nome!
We went out last night to dinner. Morgan slept over at a friend's. We came back and went to sleep.
Amy picked up the phone this morning and there was a message on our voice mail. She called the number.
Last night at 7:16 pm Pacific time, Jon Wehde, Principal of Nome Beltz Jr./Sr. High School in Nome Public Schools officially offered me the job! I will be teaching Junior High English!
I am so excited! What an adventure! What a new outlook on life! I've done this before too! I moved from Chicago to Seattle and been out here for six years. I have a track record for this kind of move. Now I am going to do it again. A real frontier type of feel!
Did you know that there are NO ROADS that go to Nome from the rest of the world? You must fly in.
Went yesterday to Shipmyvehicle.com to see about a quote to have one of our cars shipped to Nome by barge. In their banner as their slogan:
Ship ANY vehicle ANYWHERE!
I asked them about shipping from Tacoma to Nome...wait for it...
They don't ship to Nome!
Wow! We are so excited!!
