X-Men 2099 #1. Marvel always tried to start little universes outside of their well-established one. Marvel's New Universe in 1986 was one of those. And it failed. They tried again in 1993, imagining their current favorites in the year 2099. The only one that sort of took off was Spider-Man 2099 and that was only because it was written by Peter David. I had that once, but I don't know what happened to it. This comic was so bad, even when I was into X-Men, that I never bought another one.
