Succeed from Failure

Another stinky poem from high school days ( I think I had just broken up with someone...wait a minute, I never broke up, I was always dumped, but I digress). This poem is interesting because even then I was interested in a form of some sort. You can tell that the stanzas start short, get a little longer, and end short and succinctly. Well, it's interesting to me in that form is what we've been discussing ad infinitum in my Masters class.

Succeed From Failure

I tried.
Oh can't you see,
You meant everything to me.
So here I sit all alone
With you in mind.
I lost.

And yet
I think I can
Pull forth my own worthy plan.
I will survive all of this
And win.
